Services Provided
Do you and your partner lash out with anger, become defensive, or shut down with each other, rather than expressing vulnerability and compassion with each other? Do you and your partner repeatedly engage in the same old patterns or arguments? If so, Emotional Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) could be for you. EFCT utilizes attachment theory to promote secure attachments and patterns. EFCT is a short-term treatment model, usually lasting between 8-20 appointments. EFCT at Tipler Counseling LLC is also heavily informed by the Gottman Method. Each appointment will last one hour and will cost $200.
Whether you are court-ordered to engage with Co-Parenting Counseling, or whether you are voluntarily seeking professional help to further develop a healthy relationship with your co-parent, you and your children deserve a peaceful family dynamic. Each appointment will last one hour and will cost $200. Court-ordered participants will split this cost 50/50 (unless the court orders differently).
Specialties include Brainspotting and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Brainspotting is a unique modality that emphasizes body mindfulness and eye positions. Brainspotting might be for you if you are stuck on a past traumatic event, if you are having trouble moving past unhelpful emotion or thought patterns, or if traditional talk therapy is not seeming to help. DBT is a skills-based therapy that can help to address intense emotions leading to impulsive or destructive behavior patterns. Each appointment will last one hour and will cost $200.
